Cloth help for those who still need it...

Here is an awesome cloth tutorial that I found this morning. Use concepts like this to help if you are still having problems.

Stretchy arm issue

I don't think the stretchy arm will work unless your arm was completely straight down X at the time of the cluster application. For this weeks assignment...backflip and run or walk cycle, just turn stretch off and paint weights for the cluster.

Also, parent constrain your cluster to the elbow null. Maintain offset. Break the connection hat drives the X rotate. Then set up the rotation with the expression.

Or if you want to go the higher road, you can follow the advanced arm deformation in my book. Email me with any problems.

Blendshape video (no audio)

Here is the tutorial for the blendshapes. It appears that my mic was not working. I uploaded the tutorial anyways so you can see the process. This assignment is pretty easy once you have the blendshapes built. The video runs you through the process if you have any questions.

Remember: For the assignment I need 10 blendshapes and controls - 4 need to be controlled with the joystick curve setup with a separate camera aimed at the controll box. The rest can be controlled with either sliders or with new attributes on the head control that control the blendshape values.

Reverse foot setup

Here is a tutorial on the reverse foot. What is required for this assignment is stretchy IK like the arm and a reverse foot setup. You can setup your foot how ever you want. I just mainly want to see the ability to control ball roll, toe roll, and the standard IK animation control that a reverse foot setup will give you. The audio is a little weird because I was using a new microphone. I have spent a few hours trying to reduce the noise to little success. Its easy to follow along with the visuals if the audio gets fuzzy.

And here is the basic hierachy of the reverse foot driven by IK and CTRLs.
